No Excuses No Limits! The mother fucking goddamn season thread

Put Robertson back with Domi on a third line that might get both of them going.

Knies - Matthews - Marner
McMann - Tavares - Nylander
Holmberg/Steeves - Domi - Robertson
Dewar - Kampf - Lorentz

It'll be interesting imo if he goes with a bottom 6 that's a dline and oline or two mixed lines.

If they go with a dline like Lorentz-Kampf-Dewar that would give us some hope that that would be a new 4th line when healthy and reaves wouldn't automatically come back in.

Lorentz - Kampf - Dewar
Robertson - Holmberg - Steeves

But if he keeps them mixed up than i think he's just placeholding for the same 4th line when healthy

reminder that the leafs don't actually need to keep krok on ltir. they can put him on regular ir.

“When you have five or six or seven new players, you probably have to assume that one or two or three of them are going to come in and not be quite what you hoped or not fit in quite the way you hoped,” Tulsky said. “But our pro scouting staff did a great job of really focusing on who would be able to play the way we wanted to play — and who would look better here than they might for some other team.

“And every single player that has come in has just fit.”

IMO this is something that the Leafs don’t do well. They always just go after names. Domi, Bertuzzi Klingberg, Tanev, OEL.

Under Dubas they did it a bit (McCabe, Galchenyuk) but also just mostly went after names.

They never pick up guys like Bennett, Montour, Forsling, Verhaghe, Karlsson, Roy, Toews, Lehkonen etc that are just way better than how they are being used in their current teams and undervalued, and as you can see by that list every cup winner has at least a couple of them.

What's aggravating is Canes operational budget is real low and cheap, and Leafs can't be as good at analysing talent.
