Was it illegal? If it wasn't illegal then I don't see why the dad was charges.

It is now acceptable to charge the parents with negligence and accessory to murder. In this case, the kid posted online that he'd commit mass shooting, FBI interviews the dad and let's him know of his son's troubles. Then a few months later, the dad buys his son a gun designed for mass shooting.

That makes sense. I would have hoped that the kid having issues would have prevented the dad from buying the gun in general but I guess not in Murica

A multiple convicted felon, "plead the 5th 400+ times", adjudicated rapist, etc., is someone this law enforcement group is proud to stand behind over a former prosecutor?
