i get people being nervous as hell because the stakes are so high but i keep seeing people who've voted republican over and over saying they're turning away from him and it's hard to believe he's not lost a not-insignificant percent of them.

trump is talking about 1) how dems are destroying the country, b) transgender operationss c) dems stealing the 2020 election

A few reasons it's doubtful

- Early voting has been huge in NC with over 2 million votes turned in already. Democrats would be bullish on this and would spend the money to try to keep it rolling

- The DNC/Kamala machine is well funded, they don't need 2 million anywhere else so badly that they would pull it from a state that is a statistical tie and for any #crosstabs watcher, has some wonky shit in the data to generate that tie.

- NC isn't necessary for them to win, but it makes the path to 270 so, so much easier. It would allow them to lose in PA as long as they win WI & MI, and then only need Nevada for a 273 vote squeeker.
