Seems like these gop pollsters are heavy indexing on early voting returns vs 2020.
Which makes sense to me since that wasn’t the year of a global pandemic when we practiced social distancing, professional sports were playing in empty arenas, restaurants were closed, experts recommended avoiding spending time in crowded indoor public spaces and people were encouraged to vote by mail to avoid close indoor contacts with strangers.

I thought you were referencing pompeo, not Trump.
Trump has stated how he wasn’t prepared for how many positions he had to fill and had to rely on others recommendations for guys like Bolton that he regrets. I have to believe he has enough people advising him against pompeo
