They hate woke but can't define what woke is.
They love tariffs but have no idea how tariffs work.
Ultimately, all they actually care about is the freedom to be openly racist. America's Original Sin will be its downfall. Like most empires throughout history, the US epoch will be over right on time, approximately 250 years.
I can. It has it's history in French Critical Theory and post colonial theory. Queer theory and fat theory all arose from trhe writings of Foucault and Derrida. They rely on the fact that Lyotard's pronouncement of the death of meta narratives and work to undermine them all. The essential deceit within the woke is that every relationship is based on power and that all power imbalances are necessarily exploitative.
In doing so, the woke approach to 'equity' has become the elitist new religion / new morality that's filling the void that was predicted by Nietzsche and Freud with the death of religion.
Those of the bulk of america have experienced the tyranny of the meritocracy and the tyranny of elites and are resentful of those who believe they are 'their betters' are standing up and speaking up.
When the turnip was first elected I stared reading desperately trying to understand how this could happen.
My bibliography includes the following writers:
Luke Burgis: Mimetic Desire,
Wil Storr - Selfie
Will Storr - The status game

Woke Racism - John McWhorter
Pitchfork Economics Podcast
You can farm. - Joel Salatin - this is an incredible look at how to farm but eye opening how agribusiness is poisoning us all with both styles of government making us all less food secure and in doing so more vulnerable to globalism and less healthy
The War on the West - Douglas Murray - a bit too far right for me in some of his upper crust sneering
The witch trials of JK Rowling - this is a must listen podcast series and was a real eye opener
the making sense podcast with Sam Harris - He's a bit too much of gun lover who wants to hate muslims a bit too much but he has his moments
Shopclass as Soul Craft - Matthew Crawford - this one was particularly illuminating as a critique of the anti humanism implicit in expert culture as well as the most articulate attack on the elite managerial caste that I've read. He does so well at exposing how authorites / dems expand their power and authoritarian control by infantalizing and protecting victims - this is so clear in how the NDP here have a fetish for the extremely poor but resent the working class who do well.
Add to this The End of the World is Just the Beginning by Peter Zeihan to explain how the American order is disintegrating and ten year long subscription to the Atlantic, I think I get this kinda.
I would not have voted for trump or for kamal or for kennedy.
But trump supporters?
Some are stupid.
But most are reasonable if you're willing to be curious.
