OT: American Politics

Depends on how many apps you want.

Because most of it doesn't require the visuals to be good. But because of the format, the creators are incentivized to make shit concise. ~20 minutes is the sweetspot to maximize revenue for them so the good content creators (and there's 1000's of them) have gotten really good at getting their point across in 20 minutes or so unless if they specialize in longer form stuff. Podcasts tend to be a bunch of people just rambling about shit for 2-3 hours. Youtube videos are the the same people, or people in similar fields and of similar expertise actually putting effort into making the content concise, accurate, and easily searchable.
Lol none of the podcasts I regularly listen to have ever been close to that long. Most are 20-30 mins.

Also Live Streamers. Those Streamers then clip the best parts and put them on their channel.

During the NFL season, I like the clips of NFL content like First Things First or First Take.

You can watch them at 1.5 the speed to get through it quicker.

I also like my Wrestling Channels, they are interesting

There's some pretty high quality stuff on YouTube. Some of the documentary style creators are pretty fantastic. Never mind if you like stuff like math and science, or transportation stuff, some pretty good pieces on the platform.

I think what's best is you can easily find any level of depth you're in the mood for at the moment. You can get a 5min history vid or a 5hr vid of the same subject depending on what you're up for at the time.

FI will always top youtube for me as a workplace distraction at least in part cause I can browse FI with my door open

I listen to a boatload of podcast mainly cause I can do it while driving, shopping, gardening etc. mostly informational / history. Only really Comedy Bang Bang and Threedom for entertainment. BBC has some good ones.

I mostly listen to history (from UK) and Canadjun hockey podcasts.

Mike Duncan’s History of Rome was pretty good, I think I listened to almost all of it.

TVO docs channel has a lot of stuff I like.
