I hate the guy as much as anyone but all reports are indicating that his envoy got Bibi to move more in a few days than Biden did in a year. FWIW.

I do think the hostage deal was reached because of Trump, or at least his impending inauguration

have you been paying attention to his commentary on this issue?

Trump has repeatedly said they need to reach a deal before he is inaugurated, which is now exactly what has happened.

and he is already taking credit for this one. he is not criticizing the deal - he is saying he is responsible for making it happen.

his envoy was part of the recent negotiations, but not the previous rounds.

I don't think Trump is ultimately good for Israel but I don't see how anyone can say his election did not play a significant role in Israel and Hamas reaching today's agreement

It's a simple case of one fascist doing another fascist a favor to give him a political win.

The deal won't hold much past the Inauguration.

Bibi was always more concerned about his own survival, and his governing coalition, than anything else.
