“We will continue promoting PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH throughout the region, as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the Historic Abraham Accords. This is only the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed, the World!” he adds.

I'm not gonna pretend to know what they discussed.

Obviously Bibi prefers Trump to Biden or Harris.

but Bibi had to be cajoled into accepting the current terms - doesn't sound like a guy who wants to stop. and he refused to accept any agreement that prevents Israel from re-engaging with Hamas.

most people don't expect this agreement to last beyond phase one. so I think the proof will likely be in the non-existent pudding, in a few weeks.

of course, who knows what else Trump has in store for Hamas now. Bibi is unlikely to relent until their governing capacity is gone, which it is not, currently.

very different situation on the ground now vs. May.

had he accepted back then (which I think I supported at the time), Hezbollah would still be standing strong.

and gotta say, in hindsight, I am glad Hezbollah was largely taken out. guess it remains to be seen if the cost was worth it.

Would you be surprised if we find out they could’ve had a deal or almost had a deal much earlier and had an agreement not to reach one until Trump could take credit?

I feel like it’s obvious that’s what was happening.
