Trump’s really doing quite a solid for dictators like Putin & Xi.
With all this talk about how the US should annex Canada, Greenland and Panama, and how the Israelis should clear all the Palestinians out of Gaza to make room for sweet new condos…he’s working towards normalizing strong countries seizing whatever territory they’d like from their weaker neighbours to a degree none of us have seen in our lifetimes.
Because if he and the US can do that…why shouldn’t Putin be able to carve out whatever pieces of Ukraine that he’d like, and why shouldn’t Xi be able to forcefully put Taiwan under the rule of mainland China?

I was watching that Netflix doc about Springer and I remember one of the producers saying that there was such a thing as the "Springer Triangle", an area encompassing Appalachian and southern states where the vast majority of the shows guests came from. Basically poor, undereducated trailer trash future Trump voters.
