Also really underlines the fact that the GOP is not, in any shape or form, “pro-life”. They’re merely pro-forced-birth. If the kid starves to death after, dies from lack of access to medical care or gets gunned down in their classroom, they could not possibly give less of a shit.
It’s a wonder more Canadians don’t want to become part of such an amazing country.

Doing what the article suggests does seem like the perfect approach—if your end goal is to either become a Belarus-style puppet state or to be formally annexed as a US territory.
If the end goal is to remain a sovereign nation, on the other hand, the very last thing we need to be doing is caving to Trump’s tactics and also further increasing our dependence on the USA.
