OT: American Politics

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. I feel like there’s far too many uber-wealthy people in America who’ve forgotten that things like universal suffrage, representative democracy, worker’s rights, civil rights and most people being able to make a living wage—these aren’t concessions that previous generations of oligarchs, nobility or royalty gave up ‘cos they were feeling nice.

They gave those things up so that the masses wouldn’t form into enraged mobs that smash into their fancy homes at night, drag them out kicking and screaming in front of their families and then cut their fucking heads off.

The Rule of law helps the wealthy by stopping most people from killing you and taking your shit. There are breaking points but I don't think we are at them yet.

Just curious, I know 4 years feels like a lifetime sometimes, but wouldn't all of this "fraud" have been happening under his previous administration? What changed?
