OT: American Politics

Not shocked, just sad. Mike wasn't exactly a nobel laureate at the best of times, but it was nice seeing him find some inner peace later in life after his fucked up run from 15-35.

you gotta realize that the realignment right now is a simple historical re-write where the force of machismo is the source of all the greatness in human civilization and the feminization of humanity is the source of all evil.

where Mike will fall on that spectrum is pretty obvious.

Caught the article below earlier today - prompted me check egg prices bc it's almost time to put in a grocery delivery order. Well, the ones I usually buy were, yesterday, USD5.38/dz. About 37 seconds ago they're $9.67/dz.

Turkey to export 15,000 tonnes of eggs to US amid bird flu disruptions

Sooooo, I'll be buying 18-ct cartons at USD11.36 for the "discount" of USD7.56/dz. Until I need to shift strategies again, that is.

I pay 2.81 USD. I see why Donald wants to annex us
Yeah, it's absurd. I prob'ly shouldn't tempt the grocery gods by "talking out of school," but so far whole milk (pasteurized, god dammit) prices have sorta kinda stabilized after taking a mild tumble recently:
04/24/24 - $3.56
10/26/24 - $4.02
12/13/24 - $3.92
01/01/25 - $3.87
01/21/25 - $3.82
02/02/25 - $3.83
02/07/25 - $3.82
02/11/25 - $3.88
02/19/25 - $3.82

Ah. This is per gallon, btw. We're still shy about the metric system here in the States. 🙄
