OT: American Politics

With currency conversion, I'm paying just over half of that for ~30 when I buy the big box.

Even just buying 30 from Costco though:

Wow. That's unreal for us. On a daily basis, my biggest meal of the day is my first one, no matter what time it occurs (I sometimes sleep in). It almost always consists of two boiled eggs; oatmeal with honey, blueberries (frozen), tb of evoo, sm pat of butter, pinch of salt; sliced orange (luckily, these are still coming across the state line from home at a decent price bc we're in the middle of navel season); 12 oz milk; coffee (which I "import" from my roaster of 30 yrs in SF, 'cuz BLC coffee sucks so far). So I go through about 72 eggs/mo bc they're convenient, pretty healthy, and my cholesterol has never suffered from my daily consumption of them. I'm now projecting several versions of a food budget bc we're starting to see grocery price hits, e.g., 3-lb bag of frozen blueberries up .88; 32-oz bag of frozen mixed veggies up .28; store brand Greek yogurt 32-oz carton up .18; butter up .18/lb, and so on. Tack these onto egg rises and shit starts to add up. And it's only February. Of 2025. Financially, I'm ok. For now.
