It's gotten pretty dark a lot faster than even I expected.

the lesson that those of us who have been accused of suffering from "Trump derangement syndrome" should really keep taking is that no matter our levels of cynicism or skepticism or despair, we have consistently and repeatedly actually underestimated the scourge of trumpism, and what he will or will not do.

so yeah, it's kinda fucking terrifying since we all saw much of this coming. but the rate of change, and the lack of resistance is pretty alarming, for sure.

at least the pushback in Canada has been encouraging.
