All of that could have been overcome imo. Her tail off coincided with her unwillingness to put forward a convincing economic message. "Run it back....but we'll build some houses" didn't get it done. Her early messaging aimed at the wealthy was landing well and sticky with voters. Yet another line of attack that the consultants didn't like that got halted.
