OT: American Politics

Trump's popularity and peak profits are behind him. Very soon, he's not going to get 24/7 publicity without paying for it.

cernovich got all his only money by divorcing his successful wife.

Mike Cernovich's mindset techniques have helped countless men and women improve their health and fitness, develop deeper personal and romantic relationships, and take control of anxiety and worry, and make more money.

Unless votes in Philly mysteriously disappear, it looks like Hilldog will win.

538 has senate control at 50-50.

I think that also counts as an the example of B.S. that Johnny was looking for.

This Johnny doesn't like Cernovich's book.

Terrible book! Just a desperate money grab based on Trump's popularity.
If you want to read a great book that actually teaches you how to be successful, read: Art of the Deal by Donald J Trump.

trump is a born and bred elite. always has been, always will be. he'll let the gop continue to do whatever it wants while telling everyone what a great job he's doing. he won't burn down anything except american exceptionalism, but he'll turn a good profit while he does.

Trump is a born and bred spoiled brat. No doubt.

I would say he's too tacky, too unsophisticated and too boorish to be considered elite by any cultural standard. So, I guess it depends on whether your criterion for elitism is exclusively economic.

That having been said, the tales emerging from inside his campaign are such that I don't see him giving Paul Ryan or any Republicans in congress what they want unless it's also what he wants. His campaign managers have come up with an acronym: NHI-NFW (Not His Idea - No ****ing Way). No one has been able to talk him into anything he doesn't think of first. Only his kids seem to have any real sway in his way of thinking (Not that that is a particularly encouraging thought).

So while he's definitely a rich spoiled kid. He's a drunk driver behind the wheel. No one is putting controls on this. Paul Ryan is kidding himself if he thinks he can.

I said from day 1 that a vote for Trump was a giant F___ You to the system. Not that I ever thought he would be good at the job.

But, he might be, and he might still win.

Don't spike the ball on the 1 yard line with the rest of the funky bunch.
You remind me of Sarah Palin, today she said don't believe the polls.

elite has never been a matter of sophistication, only about who you know and how you do business.

anyone looking for political or philosophical or economic upheaval from trump is a sad case.

he'll use his new powers for personal gain and to settle personal scores. that's all. ruining america's status as a principled nation would be a side effect he doesn't care about.

You don't think a petty, vindictive sociopath randomly using the most powerful office in the world to settle scores and avenge slights could cause economic upheaval?

this fbi thing was all about the senate i think. and with it the supreme court.

that's the only thing big enough to make the fbi do something like this.

sure as hell hope it doesn't work.

While I agree, you're not implying that Clinton wouldn't also use it to personal gain are you?

Yeah, I saw that. But 54% is a signficant decline from just last week, and one of their analysts basically calls it a coin flip.

Yeah as the Hillary number got lower so did the Senate number.

I think the Dems will take the Senate though, I think the GOTV strategy that we already see as reportedly paying dividends in early voting will also have an effect on down ballot races that are close.

Apparently he's always been bitter about the slights of the Upper West Side upper crust. Boorish new money and all that.
