OT: American Politics

NOT an act of terrorism. Ok.

Wait, dons gas mask, fills car with smoke, then opens fire on everyone.

My understanding of terrorism is on par with the DOPS understanding of cross checking to the face.

It's important that we do keep a rational definition of terrorism in mind when assessing shit like this. Terrorism is politically motivated. It is kind of incredible how often white people's very politically motivated grievances aren't considered terrorism though...

who was America's last white terrorist?

I'm not sure he was the last, but Patrick Crusius killed a bunch of folks at Walmart. Because Hispanic Invasion.

I think you need some sort of "ideology" or "manifesto" to be considered a terrorist.

The FBI is actually pretty impartial about it...in fact, they have for years stated that homegrown (mostly white) terrorism is a pretty fucking big threat....and the United States government considers white supremacists to be the top domestic terrorism threat.

Republican supporters say the measure is needed to allow people to more easily protect themselves following a rise in crime - arguing criminals may think twice since they don't know if their potential victim may be carrying.

"This isn't a bill that's going to create more crime. This is allowing law-abiding citizens to carry a weapon without a license in Georgia," state Sen. Jason Anavitarte said.

As someone who’s taken hundreds of 911 calls from disputes over petty, petty shit that ended up with people assaulted, stabbed, even had their ear bitten off, etc… this will absolutely work great and I can’t foresee any issues at all!!

well, if I'm in Georgia I'm gonna think twice about biting someone's ear off, or even glancing at them sideways for that matter...what if they're packing heat?

Present chart and attach narrative spun out of pure bullshit.

Correct yourself at end of program but without further discussion to what this does to your previous narrative....

Yeah, that's not intentional at all. No different than a newspaper running a horseshit headline on the front page and correcting it below the fold on page A15 3 days later
