This is the attitude I’ve had since Sandy Hook. It’s not that I’m unempathetic, but a critical mass of Americans have clearly decided that regularly scheduled mass shootings of toddlers, school children and adults in random public places is a price they’re willing to pay for private citizens having unfettered access to weapons of mass death.

And a certain point, you just run out of fucks to give, particularly when the people most affected have neither the will or desire to act.

The apathy didn't just happen. It was cultivated on purpose by right wing shitgibbons. The more disconnected you make people from the process, the easier it is to manipulate the process.
