Wait, 50% of Americans don't pay taxes?

It's a shit and pervasive economic argument the right has been making for years.

A lot of Americans don't earn enough to pay...federal income taxes. Which isn't an income inequality issue for reasons, its a fuck the lazy mooching poor issue instead.

Those same Americans pay state and local taxes, sales taxes/VAT's on everything they buy, land taxes or rents that pay land taxes, etc, etc.

No one who participates in the economy goes without paying any taxes.
