I just can't see how Tulsi Gabbard will get that job (she definitely shouldn't), so yeah, he has to get some of these people through lol.

Of course one crazy idea I had would be to actually choose good candidates, but at least this one seems relatively competent.

This is kind of like saying Fly Guy voting for Trump isn’t why Trump won. It’s true but it’s not true. If you want to keep accepting that kind of garbage from your side then I guess we assume he speaks for all of you.

Gaetz was a problem for the republicans control of congress and the ability to be able to have any ability to make the kinds of compromises needed to advance any significant legislation. That’s a fact.

Gaetz was very unlikely (IMO) to get approved by the senate. That is also a fact.

The ethics committee was about to release the results of their investigation which presumably Gaetz would not want to happen. Since he resigned that stopped and he didn’t get expelled etc. another fact.

The idea that it would take some kind of 3d chess to come up with this solution is silly. Can’t say that was the reason for Gaetz’s nomination but it seems at least as likely as not. It seems like a pretty simple solution to the Gaetz in the House situation and one that Gaetz would accept because it allows him a more graceful exit. It’s a win all around at this point no?
