OT: American Politics

Like many things though, this is on the Dems overall and not just Biden. No one had the balls to run against Biden in the primaries. Even if Biden insisted on running again, the Dems should have funded and run strong primary challengers against him.
It just doesn't happen to challenge a sitting president if they want to run. They needed someone to convince Biden not to run again, that it would be healthier for everyone to pass the torch. You needed him to declare he wasn't running, to let the field open up for Pete or Kamala or whoever else to challenge without being "disloyal" or whatever.

A president being 82 yrs old also doesn't happen. But it did and the Dems fell all over themselves to protect their precious norms and precedents instead of growing spines for a fucking change.

Nobody wants to follow a bitch, and Biden was the only real non bitch on the entire team.

the scotus arguments are going on right now re trans care and they're going exactly how you'd think.

acb is arguing it's not discrimination bc boys AND girls BOTH can't transition. kavanaugh arguing de-transitioning/women's sports.

Yeah. What they needed was a full and open primary process in fully and publicly supported by Biden.

If they had to have a bitter intra-party war to forcibly shove Biden aside, I don’t see how they’d have been better off at all. And having to do the nomination battle that way would also automatically mean multiple qualified candidates would choose not to put their names forward.

... there are only 2700 billionaires on the entire planet.
Funny. I was watching the Trump movie "The Apprentice" and in one scene that takes place in the late 70's, Donald is trying to impress someone at a businessmans club in Manhattan by saying "Hey, you see that guy over there? He's one of only TWO billionaires in the entire United States, can you believe that?"

Did Trump know either of them?

Interesting…how would you get close to them?
