OT: American Politics

How many times do people have to say it before other people start believing it? This is what fascist dictatorships do. It's how they roll. If your only response is to say "Hey! That's illegal! You can't get away with that!" then you clearly don't understand how fascism works.

MAGA has only been in power since January 20th and we are already at the point where the Executive branch is telling judges to pound sand because they aren't going to obey any court orders with which they disagree. Democracy doesn't work if a judge's order cannot be enforced.

The next step will be to remove judges from the bench who refuse to do Trump's bidding. That will happen soon enough when they decide that sending government lawyers to court to fight against judges standing in the way of Trump is a waste of time and that the most efficient thing to do is just get rid of these judges altogether.

A year from now? Trump will be ruling by fiat. Congress won't be debating bills; they won't even be sitting. Everything will be done by Presidential Orders and there will be no avenue for anyone to challenge them in court because there will be no judges other than Trump rubber stamp judges.

American democracy is over. Stop expecting or hoping for it to act like one anymore.
 
Markets still green, but early morning gains cut in half now. It felt bull trappish to begin with, going to be an interesting afternoon
