Well, we (ontario) probably are. Just not where people think we're flattening it at. We're probably at 2-3K total confirmed cases once that testing back log is sort and we will probably start to see 7-10K+ cases before our curve starts to flatten.

When doctors say we're fucked and politicians say we're fine, it's wise to assume we're fucked. In my personal life I sounded like a crazy conspiracy theorist to friends and family for months. Altair could learn a thing or two from us fine folk.

There's a chart floating around one of these threads showing that NYC still had a decentish surplus of beds. Though that can change in a hurry.
 
Also Italy still has 4000ish people in the serious/critical category.

The curve might be flattening there but they were hovering around 5200 a day then just jumped 1000
hoping it goes back down
