OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

And if you grew up french you'd be a butter whore. If you grew up in Pakistan you'd prefer ghee. At the end of the day, a lot of it depends on your childhood and what you grew up with.

With that said, I agree with you entirely.

I dont think even the French eat french anymore.

All of them have a place in my kitchen. Ghee is fucking outstanding

I mean, it's like you're not aware that the Italians haven't improved a single one of their classics in a couple hundred years either and are violent towards anyone who tries.

I've been joking...but to be a bit serious it is kinda cool how italian flavours seems to just be making more and more sense as our knowledge of diet and health grow, while the opposite has happened with french.

wait...which part of a diet based on cooked white flour makes more diet and health sense than fat, veggies and meat?

Keto is a curse word in italian

Keto directly translates to Fuhgettiboutit

People: Hey, have you heard that diets low in carbs are better for your health? You should eat less pasta and try keto

He says it doesn't apply to sporting events but... honestly every time I hear a big 4 league talk about restarting the season, I think they sound absolutely delusional.

Exempting sports from events makes little sense but maybe he doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers

That's a very North American perspective. The foods you listed are very common in other Western nations.

As for other "weird" food, you wouldn't be so picky if you didn't always know when your next meal was coming. Food scarcity has been the reality for most of our history (and still is in certain parts of the world)

give us another few months.....

Yeah, I'm not really concerned, have no doubt that's what's going to happen anyway.

Most of the ideas I hear are totally batshit. Like "hey lets pick a place that doesn't have the virus and send hundreds of players from hotspots there!!"

Yeah, I can't imagine they get back to a situation where they let 40k people crowd into a single venue at all this summer. The closest they could come would be to just have teams play the whole baseball season in Florida in empty spring training parks, but I don't really know if that's really something everyone's prepared to do.

Even then, as soon as a few players get it you're right back where you started again.

That's the thing. The NFL television deal is so lucrative, they can bank serious money playing in empty stadiums. But one infected player can easily become a super spreader, and there's no way around that.
