OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

One a scale of One to ****, how bad is that?

Time will tell. I think generally most inpatient units have been pretty cautious in-terms of staff PPE. And depending on the ward the patients might not be mobile. Too many variables. But ya Could be a shitnado.

I was talking about this undercounting a couple days ago....

So the average March deaths in Bergomo province the last 3 yrs was 900.

This March it was 5400....so 4500 suspicious new deaths above average.

But only 2600 of those 4500, a little over half, are currently being counted as official Covid deaths.

Most of those will likely turn out to be respiratory in nature but not diagnosed or preventable but lack of care did them in.

Is it possible that Jesus of Nazareth was just some dude with some really great ideas on how to treat people?

Don't tell my mother I said that.

Two funnies in one day. You musta overcome corona Habs.

But if you are not a believer, At least, you put Jesus in a good light. May he find you a glass of water from time to time, in the next life.

Best french food.

Here are 5. Top 5? Dunno. But stoopid good:

Cassoulet
Boeuf Bourguignon
Terrine de foie gras, avec cornichons, baguette et moutarde Dijon
Tartiflette Savoyarde
Coquilles St. Jacques

Doesn’t come close to scratching the surface.

The Domestic Box office (movie theaters) brought in a whopping $5,179 for the week of Mar 20-26. Down 100% from $204,193,406 the same week a year ago...

I want your view of the big three while you are so expressive. I am talking about Savard, Lapointe and Robinson.

Could you possibly rank them, or just say they were all just number ones and have done with it?

And why Jacques Lemaire is so buried? Not talked about much? He literally was the Auston Matthews imo of that generation. Imo.

Might as well talk a bit about the past, not much present going on right about now.

Like I have said umpteen times I was forced to watch Habsy's team. I couldn't take my eyes off this Lemaire guy. Damn, what a freaking shot.

Insanely talented team he was on, but this guy, he was Matthews. His shot, with an old wood stick, was just surreal.

Ken Dryden, is there a better guy in the world of sports for interpreting?

Man we the Leafs, had Lemaire and Dryden. Why were they let go? Too good?

I am watching a lot of the 70's Canadiens during this time of whatever. Feels good. Damn, Savard. What a heady, heady hockey player

Robinson, what would he make now it today's NHL?

Lapointe, Roadrunner? Lafleur? Shutt?

I was a very young, biased Leafs fan, but they just blew me away over time.

Lemaire is the best head coach in NHl history imo. People need to fuck off about Scotty Bowman and his all-star teams.

Wow, thanks for that Jack. Watch some youtube on the guy. Guy was Auston Matthews. Just a ridic shot.

Habs were so stacked it was insane.

And they had the best broadcasting crew in NHL history, was quite an era. I hated them for about two years, then I just reluctantly saw the truth.

Danny Gallivan, Irvin, Red Fisher. many others covering, a bunch of guys that were just a world class all star team.

And me at the same time trying to cheer for the Ballard big time losers.

And then you had Peter Mahovlich and Frank Mahovlich. Rejean Houle. Murray Wilson. I mean it went on and on and on.

I don't think we will ever see anything like it again.

We did in Edmonton for sure.

So toss em up, who was better. Both were just, well, musta been great to be a fan of both of those teams at the time.

No... But this guy, as well, I fell in love with. So did Quebec. Yet, he was English. Incredible player. Incredible man.

Guy took his grandson on the ice. Who does that? I love Robinson. I am totally heterosexual, but I have a man love for this guy all the way.

The Clint Eastwood of the NHl for sure. Such a great guy from all reports. What a player

And then of course, you had Savard, who was magnificent.

And then? Guy Lapointe? Guy was a number one. Great player, Ahhh, been fun to check back on these guys and those days. Been fun.
