OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

normally they are testing or checking stuff

but maybe it just means the first wave

not knowing your age, risky factors, etc it is hard to say

if it was me I would do it, but i do not expect to get the pfizer or moderna ones

so as much as I like to pooh pooh the AZ vaccine, I suspect we are going to be inundated with these stories over the coming months. no causal link established was the salient point for me.

so there is minimal correlation, and no evidence with respect to causation. I'm gonna pull a presto here and say no reason to panic (yet)

Recall you said they were between 65-70 correct? Gives a decent estimate on when folks that age will be getting vaccinated in Ontario. I'd probably add a couple weeks to be safe. I'm sure we'll find out the week before since being organized is impossible.

Yep. 65 and 67. They just booked through costco.

Just need to get my mother in law in now. Same age group.

I am so pumped right now.



On the flip side a friend is fighting with his parents right now because facebook told them mRNA is bad and dangerous so they wont get the vaccine.

I think these models assume fully open. Not sure why. We aren't fully open.


But the numbers will definitely be spiking dramatically soon. Lotta countries around the world have had serious issues with this variant. Seems like US is almost out of trouble as they're vaccinating their way out of it. We're not at that point. Israel just barely started beating it after like half the country was vaccinated. It's a bit scary to see the variant uptick dramatically in a few countries in Europe. Believe Ontario is close to 50% of the variant at this point. It's growing rapidly. Eventually it'll be the only variant and it obviously won't stop growing rapidly.

Not to mention, the variant is more deadly too. Good thing we are getting the most vulnerable vaccinated because it could get ugly.
