Steeler fans are not members of the faculty of Harvard. They also wave yellow hankies.
not sure about that, Red Sox fans are smart enough to know paying to watch an exhibition game is dumb
I do remember though in one of the last years of Expodom, that guy Big Owe was crowing that they had 25000 at a game in Montreal and stated that was amazing. He neglected to point out 20000 were cheering for the Red Sox.
Steeler fans are not members of the faculty of Harvard. They also wave yellow hankies.
They also have more Super Bowls than erudite Cowboys or Patriots fans.
I also query how it helps the cause of baseball in Montreal if the stands in March are full of fans from New England who won't be season's tickets holders.
No, but those 3 teams can probably give enough to make the difference between no team and having enough fans to support a team.can you build a franchise solely on the hope road fans will your stadium?
Sure about that? Put a baseball park in the Old Port, and no city in Canada or US can match those sight lines, and ambiance...none.There is hope of course. SF Giants used to have bad attendance in the 1970s, almost moved to Toronto. Then when they didn't win, attendance at Candlestick was bad. Now they have about 400 straight sellouts. Granted they are also a mini dynasty having won 3 of last 5 WS. However, no way a park in Montreal will ever have the sightlines and views like AT&T or even Petco. Maybe if Montreal is lucky, it will be like US Cellular.
