Agreed. He'd look like a selfish jerk regardless but the fact that he managed to get his own way and then blew it (as his manager and pitching coach knew he would, hence the decision to pull him) makes him look even worse. And Terry Conllins comes off looking like a manager who doesn't have the respect of his own players. You don't have to agree with his decision but he's the boss. If he says you're done for the night, you're done.

Bad optics all around.
