OT: MLB Thread

I really don't think that's the case. It was arguably the highlight of most of their professional lives. This article, posted by 101 on the Leafs board, summarizes it beautifully:

If you examine Dyson's actions, him playing the "Kids Look Up To You" card is hilarious. He attempted a confrontation with a guy who tried to get the crowd to stop throwing things. He then oddly grabbed another player's ass for no reason.

Should kids emulate the way Dyson acted?

Are you really that dumb?

Nope....just exposing how silly your initial statement was....

You would say anything to discredit or bash (directly or indirectly) the Jays because they are from Toronto.

I assume all here who cheered for the Royals last year will be doing the same this year.

By making that statement, you are indirectly taking shots at people that cheered for the Royals just to piss you off (or contradict you) because you were cheering for the Giants....and we all know lots of posters like to do things to piss you off/contradict you :)

How you win does not matter. You win. That's it.

You did seem a little too sure they were done after game 2. you got your hopes up.

If Toronto lost 3-2 on that fluke Martin play, you wouldn't be examining it in the Jays loss.

true but if Toronto had lost, you wouldn't be showing your face either.

Duh

Not sure though how saying I expect people to cheer for the Royals is bashing Toronto's team but logic has never been your strong suit.

I wouldn't worry Count. If the Jays had that much trouble getting by a team that was supposedly so inferior to them I'd expect that their chances against better competition are less certain. Once Toronto fails he'll go back into his hole.

Only this time perhaps some of us will follow him back to his board and remind him that karma is a biatch. All I know is that he'd better pray that his team doesn't stub it's toe from here on out because there will be nowhere for him to hide if they do.

Something tells me they are doing better than the expos this year though ;)

Nah, just a ton of haters. Easy to cheer against than for a team. Percentages are on your side. Some people just love being miserable.

oh I know that feeling here where everytime the Cowboys lose, there are tons of posts on the game. When they win, crickets.

So the Jays earn a playoff spot... champagne celebration afterwards. One week later they secure the AL East Division... champagne celebration again. Not soon after that they win a playoff round... champagne celebration. Are they going to have another champagne celebration if they win the AL Championship... and then another champagne celebration if they win the WS? Is this normal in baseball these day?

Did TFC have a champagne celebration last night after clinching their 1st playoff spot in their 9 year history? Will the Leafs have a champagne celebration when they win their 1st game this year?

I know that posters from Leaf board no longer will be able to laugh derisively at CanadienFan celebrating after a series win.
