OT: Movies/TV Shows

Why?

The Last Crusade was a pretty great movie.
I guess it wasn't the "last" crusade, after all.

Typical Hollywood. No new ideas allowed. We'll just use what's always worked before and try to fool people with name recognition. Milk the cow til she's dry and then sell it for the meat.

It's weird that back in 1989 I recall watching the end credits and being sad it's the last Indy movie I'd ever see. 34 freaking years later I am anticipating the last Indy movie.

That's the pinnacle.
I really hope that film is just fun, but 'Snakes on a Plane" was all about the hype over the title and the movie was kind of a bore and not fun.

Snakes on a plane was 90 minutes and 11 dollars simply to hear Samuel L say motherfucker.

Which was totally worth it, but still.

I saw the first one in at Runnymede theater, and after the ball-rolling opening, right after he bursts out into the jungle...the entire audience cheered and applauded.

First and only time I've seen that

(not counting Rocky Horror Picture Show of course.)

When it was clear that Harrison was getting a little too old for the franchise, I always thought Dennis Quaid would make a good "Indy".

..and they already made a prequel series:

Preferred him in The Boondog Saints
