OT: Movies/TV Shows

So LOF just randomly started doing a rewatch of his favorite show Dallas after 25 years, just randomly put on S4 when it first started to go nuts, and figured I'd just watch one episode to relive some nostalgia. But it is fucking marvelous, as good as the first watch, maybe better because I missed it so much, and now I'm suddenly on season 7. I sort of skip through the B plots and primarily watch the ongoing JR vs. Bobby scenes (which is 70% of the show), and it is absolutely incredible. No more compelling tv character in history than what Larry Hagman did with JR. And the writing is second to none. The best ever.

I've never watched Dallas. Been thinking a few times over the last couple of years that I should finally check it out.

So... skip the first 3 seasons and 30% of the rest?

Sounds like a really great show.

I hope you guys aren't this dumb. I figured explaining it twice was enough, but maybe not?
I can only speak for myself but i was simply trolling you because you took the time to speak in the third person about watching a really outdated, probably mediocre to bad soap opera style show, but cherrypicking when and how to watch said show.

There's like 350 episodes. I just wanted to relive some JR but got hooked all over.

Well, it's fully worth the watch for all of them, but since I've seen them all already, that's why I'm skipping through some of the B plots on this go round.

I’d honestly pay extra for an LOF cut of Dallas (and other classic TV series)

Not positive, but I think it was one of the first series to end a season with a 'cliff hanger' ending.
I remember at the time being really annoyed but it was a good way to make sure I remembered to watch the first episode of the next season.
