It does indeed have "some kind of sound design." The movie would be nothing without it.Not sure how it didn't win the Sound award. Zone of Interest must have some kind of sound design.
I've only said that about Fury road in the new milenniumYep. Only film i saw this year that i came out thinking "yeah that might be a masterpiece".
Oppenheimer is 3 hours, not 4, and as the old saying goes, no good movie is ever long enough and no bad movie is ever brief enough. Most movies are made to suit people's ever-shrinking attention span and to maximize turnover in the theater so they can screen it more times per day and sell more tickets and popcorn. But some of the best movies in history were ones complete with overtures and intermissions. Cleopatra and Gone With the Wind were each about 4 hours long, Ben Hur was about 3.5 hours as was Doctor Zhivago. Somewhat more recently, Once Upon a Time in America and Reds were both well over 3 hours long. They are all good films.I still haven’t seen it. I can’t bear to undertake 4 hours or whatever it was.
