OT: Movies/TV Shows

I can't imagine there's been another TV actor that's done so many good/successful shows. Cheers, Becker and The Good Place as a star and his 34 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm in support alone are an incredible career. Then he's been in a ton of other stuff that I never watched but generally liked shows like CSI (84 Episodes) and Bored to Death.
He was fantastic on the TV show Damages with Glenn Close.

Isn't the movie coming out like 5 years early? Seems like it would be more fitting if they planned it to actually be 28 years after the original.

What’s this a sequel to?

Not a horror guy, so had to look it up. I’ve seen the name over the years, but didn’t know anything about the film itself. It would be clumped together with all the other stuff in the horror-type genre that I’m not familiar with. I think the only films like these that I’ve seen are the super mainstream ones like World War Z and whatever that Will Smith one was called.

World War Z and I Am Legend were pretty terrible, despite amazing source material.

But 28 Days Later pretty much reinvented the zombie genre singlehandedly. Amazing Flick. Kicked off a zombie and post-apocalyptic boom in film and television (which unfortunately resutled in weak flicks like World War Z and I Am Legend). Famous for pretty much inventing the "fast zombie".

Danny Boyle is a great director in general (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire, The Beach, 127 Hours, etc.).

The sequel 28 Weeks Later was pretty medicore tho. Hopefully this one is better. Trailer looks great at least.
