OT: Movies/TV Shows

I've the Oscar noms I've seen. Emilia Perez was by far the best (Dune, The Substance, and Complete known are the only ones I've seen so far)

That French Connection car chase...Geeze. (Watched it again over the weekend). Even part 2 is pretty good. made by cinema's most underrate filmmaker (Frankenheimer).
Hackman and Scheider were so believable as cops.
It's sad how great 70's films were to this. Now we'd get some pretty boys who were in weight training for 6 months before they filmed. I could smell the filth and piss as I watched it (Stole that from Ebert)

stop being a lazy boomer.

the best reviewed cop movie of 2024 was probably The Order, which is absolutely not a bunch of pretty boys.

well, Jude Law is always pretty, but here he's proudly balding much like a 70s Hackman.

I do agree. This is good. watched it last week The DJ killed in it (Which is barely covered) was what inspired The underrated and 10/10 masterpiece 'talk radio" from 1988.
Jude Law is really a good actor.
