Half way through the third book now. Just wow. Does the series follow it well? I'm totally curious if it does, then I'm all over it.

and the series follows it pretty well....much better than a movie can...because it is 10 hours per book and not 2

So pretty mixed/negative trending reviews coming back from Prometheus, eh?

I'm laid up from a surgery, so I can't make it out to the theatre to see it, but if it sucks, I'm not so disappointed.

Saw MIB3 last night. Overall it was a decent movie, much better than the second one and no where near as good as the first. Absolutely no need to see it on the big screen or in 3d for that matter.

If you recall, Weyland (Guy Pearce) told him that he needed to find out more about the properties of the liquid at all costs. Testing out its biological effects on Holloway might have been how David interpreted that order.

That makes sense...I dont recall that conversation....

Lots of open unanswered questions in this movie...which generally I like...but Im not up to speed on the Alien series so I figured I was missing some things.

I'll be honest: I enjoyed the film due to its compelling visuals and cinematography, but there was too much ambiguity for my liking, especially as they related to the Engineers' motives. What compelled them to want to destroy humans in the end? What led to this about-face after creating mankind in their image? What was with the sacrificial sequence in the pre-credits scene? So many questions left unanswered.

Oh, it wasn't fun.

It was a polonaidal (sp?) cyst removal. Basically its an ingrown hair that becomes infected, and needs to be cut out. My incision was large, about 7.5cm long by 7cm deep, so I have to have a special 'vac' unit to speed the healing process.

Its the location that's the real killer, they typically (as did mine), show up right around the tip of the ass crack. So while there is a big gaping hole there, it makes it a challenge to sit.

hey man, I had one of those ass gapers removed several yrs ago. Same thing as you, a pilonidal cyst. I didn't sit for two percocet weeks and that included the crapper.
