OT: Movies/TV Shows

If you watch the scene you can hear the gun click twice. How did he shoot himself if the barrel was empty?

he's alive.

It's possible that The Talking Dead is waiting for the conclusion of this little arc to throw us off, but every main death is front and center on TTD right away.

by now you can stop using the highlight spoilers

everybody knows what happened by now

As someone who stopped watching WD after season 2.....I assumed it had to have been Rick that died given all the uproar in the media & on social media about it....as well as how far people were going to protect the secrecy of it.

Finding out just now who it was tho?......I'm mildly surprised to see such a death, would cause such uproar. It's to the benefit of the show as a whole to be willing to kill off such a character imo, if the storytelling requires it.

More to it than that if you read the comics. Don't want to say too much more than that.

I might read the comics one day, but like Metalleaf it's just not my genre......watched 2 seasons of it, enjoyed it for what it was, but just wasn't something I had interest in going forward.

I really dig Kirkman's "Invincible" & "Outcast" comics tho, so will probably get around to buying/reading the Walking dead compendiums one day.

...hipsters.

:prrr:

I keep up on the show but don't have anywhere near the enthusiasm towards it as i did the first season.

I don't buy the "dream sequence" theory. I believe that Nicholas fell on him and that's what protected him.

I watched the scene over and those "2 clicks" aren't that definitive.

I'm kind of jealous of those that watch it.....if I had the time, I'd love to have read all the comics and then dove into the show. As a comicbook fan though, it's tough for me to invest the amount of time required for the show, when I know the comic book version is Kirkman's singular voice, and in all likelihood a considerably better version of it. (for my tastes, at least).

....I also kind of feel like the show is probably crushed a bit by the weight of it's popularity. It's such a huge money maker for AMC they're kind of forced to churn out 16 episodes every year written by 10+ different writers......instead of simply making 6 brilliant episodes all primarily written by Kirkman/Darabont, like they did in season 1.

That's true of most shows though.

He's become a much more integral part of the show in recent seasons.

No doubt Rick is pretty much untouchable... but Glenn and Darrell are definitely major cogs. As a matter of fact... when I saw the reaction I predicted it was Glenn. I said no way they kill off Rick and only Glenn and Darrell would cause an uproar out of the remaining characters.

I think Carol would cause more uproar than Darrell.
I'm surprised how addicted I've become to this show. The Sophia season almost made me break the TV.
Will there be another Fear The Walking Dead six episode run before the second half of Walking Dead?
I thought that it was just so-so, but I really want to see what happens next...

I could be wrong, but I think Carrol is a distant 4th in terms of popularity. She may even be 5th behind Carl.

I believe Fear the Walking Dead starts up again in January. I don't understand their strategy with that show. They aired two episodes then took a week off. then they air a few more then take 3 months off. It's like they're trying to build no momentum.

I actually thought Glenn had become less and less important. Or maybe I just didnt care about him?

Nahh, I still don't buy that. He's surrounded by a legion of walkers, and even if Nicholas fell perfectly on top of Glenn and all the blood and gore they showed is coming from Nicholas, it'd be a pretty lame cop-out if Glenn didn't at the very least get a few bites somewhere on him. In which case, he's still a dead man.

The show did what it was supposed to. Get all the casual fans to come back to see what happened to Glenn.

He is dead though.
