OT: Movies/TV Shows

Good character (not so good a movie) but does it make Val's top-5?

A very good and underrated performance was 2004's "Spartan". Seek it out if you've not seen it (or I can lend you the DVD if you come to Edmonton)

‘Battle of the Sexes’ was better than it had any right to be.

Trailers made it seem like a complete waste of time, but it was pretty entertaining….did a good job balancing the comedy & the more dramatic elements.

solid 7.6/10.
It could have been rated higher if there had been more hot lesbo action from Emma Stone.

Dramatic Steve Carrell rarely misses ( i will not talk about Dan in Real Life) and he often gets more out of the project has any right to expect. Stone is a pro too.

I’m with Zeke. Val is great. Elliot is Elliot. Everything else is kind of crap, even the legend powers booth.

It’s not even really a western.
Probably the only movie I can think of that would be almost unwatchable without such a great performance from a supporting actor... But with him it's great.

I've never watched it. Westerns bore me, for the most part. There are some great ones, but most are way too formulaic for my taste, or are just hyper violent for the sake of being hyper violent.

Once you've seen Blazing Saddles you can never look at the entore genre the same way again.
