OT: Movies/TV Shows

If only he had spent his time pre election warning us about all of this publicly available shit about Trump and not constantly telling how old Biden was and how there was no good choice to make.

Eh, true, but was he really reaching out to the right audience either way?

Had he spent his time hammering on the epstein connection, jan 6, the hilarious pro trump media coverage etc it would have helped shape media narratives a bit better imo and in an election that close, who knows.

I'm obviously not blaming Jon Stewart personally for Trump winning and the (obvious at the time) slide towards autocracy. But he sure didn't do much to distance himself from the bothsidesy bullshit that has typified US media coverage of Trump for a decade now and is imo a root cause of his normalization.

We can't, out of one our side of our mouths, talk about the impact Rogan, Schultz, Theo, etc had without talking about the failure pro democrat voices in counterbalancing that.

Did we just not put partisanship aside to keep Pierre out of the PM seat...and did it well enough that he lost his hoc seat?

Trudeau would have lost to PP tho.

Carney’s charm offensive was that he was serious — people didn’t want another guy wearing clown shoes (had enough of Trump, Trump lite and Justin)

It still took what it took though. Democrats got their air dropped replacement candidate too and different parts of the coalition didn't show up, fought with each other, etc, etc.

That's all I'm getting at. The "left" in Canada identified that Pierre was a terrible option for the country and rallied together to deal with it despite living in different partisan neighbhourhoods the rest of the time.
