Just announced in operating room over PA system in a Boston hospital "Tom Brady is free"..I know because I heard it for myself.

A $12B business cannot have a commissioner as public buffoon. How long before owners quietly ask Goodell to pursue other interests?

The NFL is really lucky that NFL football is addictively fun to watch, making them immune to themselves. Kind of like FIFA.

A deflating decision for the Commish.

I see what you did there

has that goof ever won an appeal?

The owners gave Robespierre all the power to lay the hammer, the NFLPA is a house union that agreed to it. Procedurally, it was unfair but Brady is guilty as charged. No QB of his stature doesn't know what is going on with the footballs. His destruction of evidence alone is enough for me to say he did it. However, seeing Robespierre have egg on his face is not a bad thing.

At least now, GiantFan and EagleFan won't be able to whine the Cowboys had an unfair advantage by not having to play Brady.

I agree with all of that. I know this Commish drummed up lots of money for the owners but he is absolutely terrible at handling serious situations in the game... it's almost buffoon like.

I was listening to a sports radio show a few months back and there was this guy who had worked with the last 3 NFL Commissioners and said that Goodell is totally lost on some issues and yet still gets himself in front of microphones and reporters where that becomes evident to everyone sort of like Sarah Palin's Diane Sawyer interview.
