OT: NFL thread

You're not really trying to play the blame game in defending Romo are you? I mean not really right?

I don't see why the 2nd highest all time passing leader gets crapped on so much. Jim Kelly lost 4 straight SBs and is never crapped on.

Kelly got to four SB's and the four losses, aside from the first one against the Giants, can't be called chokes. The Bills were over-matched in each of the last 3 SB's and no one should have been shocked that they didn't win them. The only SB in which they had a real shot at winning was the first one and in the end it wasn't Kelly who choked but Scott Norwood (although it was a 47 yard field goal attempt which hardly qualifies as a gimme or a chip shot)

Romo, on the other hand, chokes in each and every playoff games he's ever been in. Sometimes his teammates are able to bail him out. Sometimes they can't.

Last I checked wins are a team record except re Romo then all on him.

Anyway from what I read here clutch is a myth ergo choking is a myth too.

the fact that Bryant dropped the pass that could have won the game in Green Bay and Murray fumbled away what would have given us a huge lead in the 3rd quarter of that same game does though

If we are gonna talk about If and Buts... how about the horrible reffing the week before vs Detroit?

You obviously do not understand and did not follow the context of that post.

The point being that you are trying to say Romo would be seen as a winner if other people didn't screw up.

My point is that if we are playing the "other people don't screw up" card, he would have been sitting on his couch instead of playing a football game in Green Bay that weekend.

And that is a meaningless point in context of my response to a Habsy post Popping in a week later and making an irrelevant strawman post adds nothing to the thread.
