OT: NFL thread

Garrett cannot adapt to injuries. We have not won a game with Romo not starting since the last game of the 2010 season, how brutal is that. Either Romo is GOAT which is he isn't, superhuman which he isn't or Garrett is an atrocious coach.

Last night, Sean Lee aka Mr Glass went out with another concussion and right away, our D couldn't stop the Eagles.

What do you want me to say (and I already commented in another thread where Lotus mentioned the game)? We lost to a team with Sam Bradford at QB, that is like losing to a houseleague QB. That is embarrassing enough. Our defence is putrid. Garrett makes Chipper look like Belichick which is almost impossible to do.

Yet you still almost lost to us. I would hardly be crowing or running my mouth if I were you or the Eagles' players. They all seem to have something to say about Hardy after the game but none had the nuts to say it before the game.

I never said the Eagles were good . . . but it was an exciting game to watch.

Yeah sure that of course is why you called Lotus Gp and particularly me referring to us as the silence of the lambs for not commenting, just because the game was "exciting".

Garrett saved his job last year and if Jerry had any wits about him, he'd pray for Sean Payton to be available this off season. But unfortunately, he'll chalk up this shitty season to Romo & Dez being injured, giving Garrett another free pass into next season.

(But woohoo, we get a high-ish draft pick! ...)

The Silence of the Lambs, I mean Cowboys fans here, after last night's thriller is deafening. What's wrong with you people? That was a great game last night.

Between The Walking Dead and my weekly phone call to my Dad I hardly watched much of the Cowboys game but it seemed like the same script I have seen every week since Romo went down.

Words cannot describe how much I loathe Jason Garrett. Why in the **** does he keep clapping when the Cowboys shoot themselves in foot play after play? Throw an INT... Garrett's clapping. Fumble the ball... Garrett's clapping. Can't score on 3 tries inside the 10-yard line and settle for the FG... Garrett's clapping. Drop the ball on an easy catch... Garrett's clapping. It's the NFL you useless ex-backup QB. Your players are going around ****ing girls, assaulting their spouses and doing blow so why treat them like a bantam team? If they are so insecure about their play that they need the coach to not be mad at them when they screw up then the team is ****ed.

Don't even get me started on all the criminals and headcases that Jones keeps signing.

That Sean Payton rumor is probably the only hope for the franchise at this point but then again he'll probably like a guy like Hardy who you can handout a bounty to for paralyzing some QB on the other team.

On cowoyszone.com a poster called Garrett Captain Clap. Another the Clapping Clown. As I wrote above, he makes Chpper look like Belichick and Saban.

Games like tonight really highlight the fact that the NFL has a handful of good teams and a whole lot of garbage teams. Two of the garbagey ones are the Jets and the Bills.

Just a few minutes ago the Bills were 3rd and 2 and they opted to pass to a guy in the flat who hadn't bothered to run to the first down marker yet. He was tackled immediately for no gain and the Bills were forced to punt.

This is what bad teams do.

The Jets are equally (probably even more) hopeless. I honestly don't know why anyone would make the drive to the Meadowlands to watch them. Yet somehow they've managed to win 5 games this season, which only proves that there are more awful teams out there.

Bills are fine when healthy. You're just pissed they're tied with your Steelgirls.

The Bills' only hope to keep pace with the Steelers is for Roethlisberger and Bell to stay injured. And as I've said before, I never hated the Bills. I rooted for them in 3 of the 4 Superbowls they played in (and even in the first one it wouldn't have bothered me if they had beaten the Giants) I wanted them to win last night too. But they just aren't very good.

The Packers are beginning to resemble the Habs. I can live with losing on the road to a couple of undefeated teams but there's no excuse to lose at home to a team as bad as the Detroit Lions. Even if Crosby hadn't bricked the last second field goal attempt and won it, this game would still be a loss in my view. You shouldn't merely beat the Lions, you should be able to stomp them. This game should have been done and dusted by halftime.

Another pathetic failure.

But things could be worse, as any Cowboys fan could tell you.
