OT: NFL Thread

I like Philly as a city but I could never be a fan of their sports teams.
In the NFC East I liked the Giants and/or Washington. I only ever rooted for the Eagles when they played Dallas.
I loathe the Flyers except when they play the Leafs.
I've hated the Phillies ever since they edged out the Expos for the pennant in 1980. I only rooted for them when they played the Blue Jays in the 93 World Series.
I no longer watch basketball but when I did, about 40 years ago, I was a Celtics fan so I hated the 76ers. If I were an NBA fan today I would only root for the Sixers if they were playing the Raptors.

Is the arena private or public property? Might be a first amendment right issue. If it's private he's fucked. Public and there's an argument.

It's interesting how the male view of the incident is split down the middle. Most agree the Eagle fan was a dickhead but half seem to think the Packer fan who recorded and did nothing is a pussy cuck who is now castrated for life.

I personally don't see how the Packer guy wins any fight there given Eagle guy has the high ground, is surrounded by friends etc.

What would a Cowboys fan know about any of it, seeing as how the incident took place during a playoff game?

Getting in a fight in a public event is never a good idea. Lots of brave idiots behind a keyboard.

I still would have said something to him and if he wanted to go, we go.

Its why Ray doesn't like going to games with me anymore. 😢

Aw take the fun out of everything. These guy talk shit because they think nobody will do anything... right up until someone does.
All I'm saying is pick your spot. I probably wouldn't have picked a fight in this instance given that I paid good money to watch a playoff game for my team, with my fiancee, and that I'm in an hostile stadium, in Philly to boot.

There are some stadiums and arenas in which you can get away with wearing the other team's colors and some where it's suicidal to do so. Philly and Boston are two places which fall into the latter group. You wear a Packers jersey to an Eagles game or a Rangers jersey to a Flyers game and you might just get punched out, either in the venue or on your way back to your vehicle. In Boston, don't wear a Habs jersey to a Bruins game unless you have a death wish.

On the other hand, I've worn Habs jerseys to games in Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary without fear, and a Packers jersey to a Seahawks game without incident. You have to pick the hills upon which you'd like to die
