OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

I was in a ndp rally in edmonton and he was talking about how he would revive manufacturing and aerospace industries.

A packed room full of ndp supporters hesitated and half heartedly clapped.

The man doesn't know where he is when he steps off his plane.
 
Typical Vancouver. OMG someone called another city more important, I'm insulted. This city has such an inferiority complex it is pitiful. It thinks it is important. All you have to do is go to Paris, New York, London, Los Angeles, Chicago etc to realize how unimportant this city really is globally.

Toronto is Canada's most important city. It has the media concentration, banking, business etc. To deny that is stupid.
 
Why would you say that in Vancouver though? Why would you say that anywhere but Toronto actually?

And why would you talk about manufacturing and aerospace in edmonton?

The man has no situational awareness. He would make a speech about steak to a bunch of vegetarians.
 
It might be a dumb place to say it, but that doesn't detract from it's truth. Anyway, never interfere while the enemy makes a mistake ;)

Sure, answer it, but you don't say that when in another city. You can even say that you think that Toronto is "one of the [whatever] cities of the world" but don't say that it's the best in Canada.

He didn't say the best, he said the most important, which can't really be denied.

I am not sure Donald Trump can handle the hectic schedule of a Presidential race. He is looking large and out of shape as he steps on to stages and platforms for his speeches... even Chris Christie does it smoother.

Then there is Trump's red hat over his unique hair and his tanned face... it all combines to remind me of Chris Farley down by the river...

You just know the length of this journey to the White House is going to be hard for Trump to get to without self-imploding. The whole thing is a bit ridiculous... here we are 15-months away from the vote and first you have to go through the primaries and debates, then on to the actual Presidential race and debates. Then you get a 24hr job where you are responsible for the whole country's security. I guess the perks are good.

I like what George Takei said about Kim Davis this week (I'm paraphrasing)

Kim Davis isn't Rosa Parks. She's the bus driver who refused to drive the bus when Rosa Parks wouldn't get out of her seat.
