I will say this about Trump, he has no understanding of world politics but he is a great salesmen. He got two of the smartest on this board, Rolex and Lou to support him and to tell everyone "give him a chance". I would not have expected guys like them to support him but he convinced them.

To go a step further:
Lou and myself predicted he would win, when EVERYONE was saying no chance in hell he wins (go read the posts in this thread)
That's what should scare you the most.....
The single biggest reason that he won, I believe, is that there was finally a revolt by the middle of the country against the political correctness oppression waged by coastal elites, who are mostly Democrats. Half the country does not believe that you should be able to go to whatever bathroom you feel like going to, and that understandable.
even on election day when people on my FB TL were freaking out about him possibly winning, I was telling people, come on, when it gets down to people marking an X, no way they vote for him, but they did.
Now Americans are realizing how dumb they were.
Granted, the Democrats probably ran the only person who could have lost to him.

The Bathroom Law wasn't even a campaign issue for Trump. He thought that it wasn't an issue and people should just use the washroom they want to use.
In February he issued the executive order on the issue, rescinding Obama's orders... but that was against everything he said on the campaign trail.
I don't think this was what one trump the election.
The biggest issue that won Trump the election was promises of Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, and having them win him 4 swing states in the rust belt by a very small margin. Oh and the hatred of Hillary.
People bought his huckster message, and now are starting to realize it.
It was an example of PC'ism run amok in the view of many, and part of a greater problem.
