OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

If thats what you want to believe.

We both know if this was a Dem President doing the exact same things, with this GOP congress and Senate, impeachment would have begun already.

The only reason trump isn't being impeached is the partisan nature of politics today. No GOP majority in both houses is going to remove him given what is out there. But if the same things were out there on Hillary, she'd be long gone.

OTOF Syndrome is prevalent for sure, in all of Washington.

No impeachable offense had occurred, no matter how much you wish it. Incompetence? Sure. Impeachable? No.

Be Honest Habsy.

If Hillary was president and:

1) Comey announced he was re-opening the Email investigation, focusing on Huma Abedein.
2) Huma gets fired for lying to the VP.
3) Hillary was caught telling Comey to just let her go, close the investigation.
4) Hillary then fired Comey
5) Hillary then declassified intel about ISIS, given to her from Israel and handed it to Iran
6) Hillary was involved in multiple emoluments clause issues.

You wouldn't be screaming for impeachment?

Tell me this honestly?

I'd say the same about your defence of trump at this point.
This is why I said laughable.

My extreme disdain for the left does not equate to defending Trump.

What I'm defending is a President's constitutional powers which most of you are clueless about.

Lol, firing Comey is impeachable?

ROFL!

Nothing you posted is an impeachable offense. Nothing.

Your emolument argument is bullshit too. This is nothing but hatred, there is no legal basis. None.

The only crime committed has been the leaks.

Asking an FBI director to shut down an investigation into your aides, and then firing him when he doesn't has a huge smell of obstruction of justice on it.

Go check again the grounds for impeachment filed against both Clinton and Nixon.

Re: OT: Politics & News... Have at it.

Ex post facto. This was not revealed in February and it creates dubiousness. Furthermore, as I read it, he didn't order Comey to stop and the investigation didn't.

Not impeachable.

You'd impeach Trump for eating two bowls of ice cream.

I'm very familiar with Nixon, there was already testified crime. There isn't any evidence of crime against Trump. None. Zero.

We both know if it was hillary, that impeachment proceedings would be under way.

How many committees did we have on Benghazi? and she wasn't even President.

I'll remind people again that this is the same Comey Democrats were asking Obama to fire in January. So bloody laughable.

These people serve at the pleasure of the President. The American people voted in an idiot with weird pleasures. Enjoy.

I'll remind you again, the official reason given for Comey's firing is that he was unfair in talking about Hillary's emails in July and sending the letter in October. Things that Trump and Sessions and all the rest were praising at the time.

So bloody laughable.

Comey overreached his station on many issues. Obama should have removed him but didn't. I have zero issue with his removal and if you look at the polls, I'm not alone. The majority of people don't.

You guys have been in search of a crime for months. There isn't any and it's driving you nuts.

I honestly believe, if Hillary was president, and fired him after telling him to stop an investigation into someone like Huma Abedein, the GOP congress would have papers drawn up with the crime being Obstruction of Justice.

Everytime something new comes out, the Republicans say, this is troubling, this is concerning... but stop short of actually doing something like appoint a special prosecutor to investigate or even panel an independent, non-partisan commission. Nope, they just talk about how this is concerning, but do nothing to actually investigate or deal with it.

Its the swamp, playing partisan games.

You may be right, I won't defend the GOP. Let's not pretend the Democrats are any better though as they are doing precisely what you posted.

The fact is no crime had been committed. Democrats on key committees have been asked time and time again if they've seen any evidence of a single crime and time and time again the response is "no".

The left is in such hysteria in search of a crime, any crime, that they will lose sight of everything. Washington is not legislating, it's playing politics, and it's sickening.

Yes

I believe with this set of facts on a dem president, a GOP controlled house and senate would vote to impeach.
I also believe that with this set of facts on trump, a Den house and senate would impeach.

This set of facts is not normal though. This is not the way the presidency is supposed to work. We aren't supposed to get "this set of facts".

And to think you're a lawyer.

Laughable.

I hope you hire better lawyers. Yes, asking someone to end an investigation is probably not obstruction of justice - depends on statutory language, if any exists. Ordering someone to probably is, however.

And if you were to fire that person shortly after they refused your request to shut down the investigation, and then you go on TV and tell NBC that the reason you fired him at least partially did have to do with Russia... what would you call that counsellor?
