OT: Soccer thread

Imo Berardi is making Mancini look like a true genius. Playing him ahead of Chiesa was a ballsy call and it's worked out amazingly well.

I agree with Berardi over Chiesa, I just wish he would stop striking the ball 50 feet over the crossbar lol.
 
They really are the Toronto Maple Leafs of international footy.


Funny enough, that's a big reason I've never gotten into international soccer. Aside from not really finding the sport enjoyable to watch. Cheering for Canada in any meaningful tournaments was obviously never an option.

So then if I did what most Canadians do and picked the team where most of my ancestry comes from...that'd be England.

And no goddamn way was I going to become a fan of a second team that has a well-earned reputation for choking, and who used to be good but haven't won a damn thing since my parents were children.

France looks deadly but Hungary looks well organized by their Italian coach.

And that goal in front of the home crowd is absolutely legendary.
