Yeah, but it’s Trump’s mob boss actions, overt attempts to corrupt the sport with Infantino’s active participation and the almost universal loathing of their populaces for Trump that caused UEFA to come out against Infantino’s plans and his continued leadership.

What’s Trump going to do to get UEFA back onside with Infantino? Threaten them with more tariffs? Threaten to conquer Greenland again? Use the American soft power he’s been actively annihilating for the past year and a half?
 
Helping to secure a CL payday would be a nice parting gift for his club.

Edit: though giving up three away goals to Bodo likely dooms them.
