when i was in thailand i saw a "rolex" in patpong market that was a pretty damn good ripoff (by the standard of there being no glaring mistakes like the roman numeral "iiii" or name spelled "ralex", which i saw on some of the other very real high end watches she was selling).

figured i'd make a pitch. the vendor pulled out her calculator and punched in something ridiculous (even more than the "viagara" she tried to sell me), so i lowballed on the counter. she stuck to her original price. i said 'i'm not paying that for that piece of ccrap" and she was like (in english) "IT'S A ROLEX".
