Yeah, but dude: fuckin' jellied eel.Clearly he hasn't had scrapple
Oh, both definitely play a role. But you can make mediocre coffee taste fine enough with the right grind and brew, and you can make single source brilliance tasty bitter and muddy with a shit grind, or even just being in a vacuum bag that was opened for the first time more tha 5-6 days before. Yes, there is no sweetness or complexity in wholesale bean, but until you know how to get the best out of a bag of kirkland, you're probably wasting your money on your single source Costa Rican light roast.
you win, bitch.
so I bought a DF64 Gen 2.5 Single Dose Coffee Grinder with Red Titanium Burrs. I got 90 days to play with it.
don't even know what machine I'll actually be using to do the actually brewing...but getting that grinder feels like I just landed a #1C and #1RHD
you win because your post was "coffee is all about the grinder"...and then my SPINN said "he's right" and got a stroke.
what's your setup like?
I can't do pour over, because I would require a cup of coffee just to have the energy to make my coffee.
