Despite being agnostic myself, I do think you make a valid point here even if you ultimately took it too far. A number of history's greatest minds have indeed believed in god/a higher power. Moreover the fundamental principles of science dictate that we're never 100% certain about anything, therefor making it impossible for anyone to genuinely claim that there definitively isn't a God.
That said, I think it would be intellectually dishonest to ignore the fact that there is clearly a strong statistical parallel between the highly intelligent and highly educated, and their lack of belief in a God or higher power. Likewise there is a parallel between the less educated and a belief in a religion.
